About Me

Jacksonville, Illinois, United States
My husband and I have been married for 51 years. We are both retired. He loves to garden and read. I like to do those things too but still need to do something interesting and keep my brain active. I have been selling online since 2002. I really like selling over the internet and reading and writing on the blogs as you can talk to many nice people. I also sell in order to supplement our income as day-to-day living expenses. I have a grown daughter who owns a painting business, Painters Extraordinaire II, in Chicago, IL. I also have two dogs(Lady and Corky) and a cat named Bonnie.

Where have I been?

I've been no where just busy and have a crappy memory.  Need to start writing in my blog on a daily basis BUT you know how that goes.

My niece just passed away at 56 from cancer.  She didn't even know she had it until 2 weeks ago.  She also had a really bad case of arthritis so maybe she just thought the cancer pain was that.  My sister and I went to see her on Sunday so I am really happy we went then and got to see her before she died.  Cancer has stolen so many loved ones from so many people.  I hope they find a cure soon.  I lost a nephew, two sisters and now a niece from it.  I think that's all.   Hope there aren't any more.

An update on our cat, Clyde.  Still giving him the medicine for hyperthyroid but it doesn't seem to have helped much.  He doesn't seem to have lost more but hasn't gained much either.  So we'll just have to see how it tuns out.

Hope all of you are well and in good health.  Pray that no more losses come soon.

Take care - will try to write more.

Is your vet checking his thyroid on a regular bases for medicine dosage needs?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on your comment. The vet has checked him a couple of times but that is the only thing he can find so we are trying him on the medicine for a few months to see what happens. I actually don't see any improvement in the weight myself but at least he doesn't seem to be losing more.

As long as he seems to be feeling good it's a mystery what to do. As the vet has checked his blood and nothing seems wrong but borderline hyperthyroid.

Thanks for our interest.
