Friends, Acquaintances or Whatever....

Can anyone tell me what it takes to keep friends anymore?  It seems like all the people on the block that used to talk to us when we walked our dogs are now avoiding us.  Why I don't know.  As far as I know we haven't done anything to them.  What is it about us that people tend to avoid.  I am honestly stumped.  I know that they aren't our friends but they always used to make it a point to come out and talk while they petted the dogs.  I feel really crappy now that they are doing this.  Oh, well - they weren't friends anyway so I guess it's just one of those things.

At least we got to walk the dogs today as the temperature was a little higher.  Now they are talking about 80 degree weather this coming week.  We will be able to walk them really a lot and see what happens.

Not crying about them not talking to us but just wondering what the hell is going on.  Comment if you have an answer to this question.

No posts since June.....

I can't believe I haven't posted on this blog since June.  Man the summer has flown by and now getting braced for the cold of the winter.

I hope your summer went well as our was pretty uneventful.  Did the normal things like planting flowers, etc.  We haven't had any rain to speak of since July or maybe even before that.  At least it's fall now so maybe the flowers and bushes will just go into hibernation and be OK until spring.  I hope so as I am really getting tired of watering.

I have also listed many many more items in my stores so I hope you will go and check them out.  I sure could use some sales as they have been few and far between also this summer.  I haven't been hitting any garage sales or thrift store this summer as I have a house full of items that I need to sell.

Even with not posting for all this time I still don't have a lot of exciting news but will try to be a little more diligent in posting.

Do you have Acid Reflux?

I have suffered from acid reflux for many years with the worst bouts happening at night.  Sometimes they would be so bad that they would wake me up from a sound sleep.  I would have to keep tums, crackers or bread by my bedside so I could use them when I needed to.  I take two different medicines to keep it in check.  The medicine help but didn't keep it from happening.     I also bought one of the wedge pillows.  Even with that pillow I still had terrible episodes of reflux.

The pillow I bought was the 7" one and like I said it didn't help much and was not comfortable as it was too high.  I  used a memory foam pillow on top which made it even higher and caused me to kind of fold instead of lying comfortably.  I recently bought one that measures 5.5" high and since purchasing it have not been woken up once during the night with reflux.  It is comfortable too and I use the memory foam pillow on top of it.  It is just the right height as I lay at just the right slant.    If you have the same problem I hope you give it a try.

Take my word for it not waking up with that problem is wonderful.  Good luck to you all.

New Stores

I have decided to try a couple new stores and see if they fly.  Eventually I am only going to have a few specialty stores but that's way down the road.  Need to get as much sold as possible before I close any stores.  I already closed my clothing store as it just wasn't really doing good like it used to. 

Anyway I have added the new stores in my stores list so feel free to check them out.

I cannot believe the temperature is going up to 40 today and the mid 50s tomorrow.   Great but then after a few wonderful days it goes back down to the 20s.  Oh well live for today I guess.  At least we are able to walk the dogs.  Hopefully the snow will be off the sidewalks by the time we walk them today.  It was a little hazardous yesterday.
