Where did the buyers go?

I love this site as it is very easy to list items. Check them out. I don't have a lot listed yet but I might have something you want.

I sure hope the buyers come back and start purchasing. If you see something you want be sure and purchase it as it could be gone tomorrow (at least I hope so.)

That Darn Cat!!

We were supposed to take Clyde the cat in this morning for the vet to check him out as the pills for hypertension don't seem to be doing any good. Every morning I put his pill in a cat pill holder treat and he eats it right up. Today when I put the pill to knock him out (we have to do this to get him to the vet) he would not eat it and would not let me pick him up to give it to him. I don't know how he does it but he must have known some way what it was. I even gave him some other treats to get him to eat it and he ate the treats but not the pill holder. I called the vet and we are going to try again next week.

Darn him. I could have slept longer if I had known he wouldn't take his pill. Cats are such fun.

Winter has returned to Illinois

Winter has returned to central Illinois. What fun! It could have gotten lost forever as far as I'm concerned. I don't like cold weather. Well, why are you living in Illinois you ask - - We moved back here in 1992 to be close to friends and family. Found out the friends are not friends anymore but still have some family here. Anyway here we are. And here we'll stay - probably forever or for the rest of our lives - whichever comes first. According to some people the rest of the lives will end this year per the Aztecs.

Anyway here we are again in winter. It has snowed but only a dusting which is a blessing.

Have to sign off as I am going to lunch and shopping with my sisters who live here.

Time goes flowing by...

Next month is quite full as we have our 48th anniversary and my 69th birthday in February. Boy, I can't believe how the time has flown. I remember when I thought 40 was old. I wonder what my young self would have thought about age 69. One more year until the big 70. Even now when I think of it I freak out. The time has flown but also seems like a long time. I know that's a contradiction but it seems to go slow at the time you are living it but when you find out how much time has elapsed it seems to have flown by. Of course, a week is nothing. I wake up on Sunday morning and before I know it It's Sunday again. Getting old is just plain weird. Better than the alternative though. Ha!

Man the last few days have been a real drag. Cloudy and cold - not my kind of weather. I don't know why I live in the north as I'm a hot weather gal. We haven't had any snow to speak of this year which is a blessing but it has been up and down temps. I need to live somewhere where the coldest days are high 60s at least.

I have been doing a lot of listing in my stores though so you might want to check them out. January has been a really weird selling month. A sale here and there nothing substantial. Oh, well, may February will be better.

Well Clyde has to take the hyperthyroid medicine for another month or two before we can really tell if the medicine is working. Right now he still looks just as skinny. Hopefully he will start gaining soon. I don't want him to gain the weight his little sister has as she is quite chubby.

I haven't posted for a while as I have been really busy. Every day there is something. Today it's getting my eyes tested. It is so cold here though I really don't even want to stick my head out the door much less get out and drive to the eye doctor. I can't wait for spring but then it's tornadoes we have to worry about. I guess you just can't win when it comes to Mother Nature.

I have been listing and listing trying to make more sales but it is really like pulling teeth. I have been having some sales but I need to make a lot more if I intend to pay bills and add to our little nest egg. I also would like to make room for the new items I am buying. Guess I will have to stop buying until I have more room. I hope you will check out my stores if you need or want something.

Our dog, Lady, is getting a beauty treatment tomorrow. We aren't going to get her hair cut much as she will need it if it stays like it is right now. She is so cute when she has a bath and haircut. Oh, she's pretty anyway but is exceptionally cute when she is bathed and cut.

An update on what's happening with Clyde. He has been taking the medicine almost two months and it doesn't seem to be making a difference. He's still just as skinny as before. I guess it's back to the vet for more tests but we have to get a pill to knock him out first in order to get him back to the vet's office. I sure hope it's not something that can't be fixed. I love that big guy and hope he gets better.

When will a woman be President?

I certainly would like to see a woman president in my lifetime but the way things are right now, not sure I will. I guess I just don't get the women in this country. When a woman runs we should get behind her and not let the fact that she is good looking or some of her ideas are not our ideas keep us from voting for her. I sure as heck don't agree 100% with the men who are running so it doesn't make sense that we would have to agree with a woman candidate 100%. So she doesn't agree about abortion, or she has different ideas about marriage or whatever, most of the men candidates have pretty much the same ideas. So how come men can feel that way but a woman can't? I guess I will never understand it. The women of this country need to get over themselves. Maybe in another 100 years it will happen but I doubt it. Even countries that are supposed to be less enlightened than the US have elected women as their leaders. This makes me almost ashamed that our country is so far behind in this respect. Hope someday we grow up.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

We have a very good day. My husband and I don't get each other gifts any more because we get what we need and can afford throughout the year. I think sometimes that is better as it gives you more time to do the things you like than stressing out about getting gifts and returning gifts you have received. My sister and her hubby came over and we had a nice dinner and sat and chatted for a while. They had to leave pretty early as she was getting really tired and needed to rest. It was nice though. Too bad my daughter and my sister's sons could not make it.

I can't believe it is Christmas eve already. Man the year has just flown. I am amazed at how much time has passed when someone mentions a well-known event. Anyway, I want to wish all a very Merry Christmas and New Year.

I'm fixing a roast tomorrow and my sister and her husband are coming to eat. This is the sister who just had the stomach surgery and she isn't feeling the greatest so my husband and I invited them over. I will just have to throw in a couple more potatoes and other stuff for us all. We usually play Mexican Dominoes but it would be too hard on her. At least she doesn't have to worry about fixing a meal.

I know it's too late to get more Christmas gifts but you can always get something for yourself that you didn't receive. Be sure and check my stores out for that wanted item.

My Sister

Well, my sis is doing better. She got to go home on Monday and being home has helped her. She will do better and better.

Clyde my cat has been on the medicine for hyperthyroid for a month and still doesn't seem to be much heavier. I will have to call the vet next week to see if he should keep taking the medicine.

Man it has gotten pretty cold here but is supposed to warm up some during the next week. I want to move somewhere warm. I hate cold weather. Oh, well I'll survive it. I have for all these years so guess I can make a few more.

Have been trying to list more items and have listed a few but the weather has been cold and gloomy (until today the sun came out). I just can't seem to get motivated. I need to get more sales and that will motivate me a lot.

Sister's operation...

Well, my sister that had the operation isn't doing the greatest. I hoped and prayed she wouldn't have a hard time. Apparently she has water on her lungs and some problem with her heart or something. She wasn't too clear when I talked to her. I was going to go to the hospital to see her but woke up with a stupid headache so don't think the hospital would be a soothing place to get rid of it. I know she wants to go home as I was in the hospital for 12 days and thought I would go nutz. Four of them when I had the operation and 8 because I got blood clots in my left leg. Boy getting old is really fun. Better than the alternative though.

There is still time to order for Christmas. If you find something you want to purchase I will do my best to see it gets to you before Christmas.

How is Clyde?

Hi again.

More info on how Clyde is doing. Whatever his problem is I don't think it's hyperthyroid as he has been taking the medicine for 2 1/2" weeks and he is still as skinny as ever. I will use all the rest of the prescription over the holidays just to make sure as I don't know how long he has to take the medicine before it starts making a difference. If anyone knows feel free to leave a comment on the bottom of this post. I guess if it's not hyperthyroid then it's back to the vet to see if we can find out what he has.

We have been extra busy this month it seems as there were so many animal visits to the doctor, plus our visits and then my older sister had to have surgery for the almost the same stomach problem I was operated on last year. Her's was slightly different though but still required the same surgery. Hopefully she will get out of the hospital today. I had to go yesterday to have the sonograms on my stomach and carotid arteries in my neck. Thank God they have improved so don't have to check them again for another 9 months.

I have been trying to list in my store, send out the items purchased and a bunch of other things I normally do and it has been really crazy. Hope you all check out my stores in the next few weeks as I will be adding lots of cool items. I think the cut off date for getting the purchased items for Christmas will be December 19th. I'm not sure they will get to the destination by Christmas if they are shipped after that date.

Well, Clyde has been taking the medicine for a week but I'm not sure it is doing anything. I guess we will have to give it to him for a while in order to see any results. I will keep posting to let you know the eventual outcome.

Also I have been frantically adding more to my stores in the hope of getting lots of sales. Thanks to all of my readers who have bought from my stores. I don't know who you are but you know and I thank you.

Can't believe it is so close to Christmas already. Before I know it it will be spring again. Time is really moving.

My Skinny Cat, Clyde..

Well we have put Clyde on medicine for hyperthyroid as the blood test showed he was borderline and nothing else was found to make him lose weight. I am hoping that the medicine makes him get back to his lion like self. He just seems so light and insubstantial now. He doesn't seem to be so hungry so maybe the medicine is helping. The above picture is of him before he lost all the weight. As you can see he was a lot more substantial. Maybe too much.
Anyway If anyone is interested I will be blogging on how he is doing.

We found out that our little Corky has a small kidney problem so we have him on a food that is supposed to help. This month was really expensive as we spent around $600 on just two of our animals. Hopefully they will all stay well as being retired we are on a fixed income and can only spend so much money. We are one of those people that don't have a big savings account. Lady our other dog goes to get her shots next - another $100 cost.

Hopefully, I will get more sales so if the cats, dogs or us need medical attention we can afford to treat us. That is one fear I have that one of us or our furry babies will get something that we can't pay for. I pray that won't happen.

Anyway - Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Eat a lot of turkey and watch the games or whatever you do on a holiday. Just think only a month until Christmas. Wow, this year has really gone fast. Too fast if you ask me.

I have had a very bad cold for a week and a half and am finally getting so I'm not coughing my brains out now. I hope none of you have gotten it because it is not at all fun. It goes from stuffed up nose to sneezing, coughing, etc. I'm sure you get the picture. Anyway I am a lot better now.

I hope the selling season starts soon as I could really use the business. It seems like since Google changed everything again sales have been slow and gotten slower. The tests came back and it looks like hyperthyroid. The doctor wants to see him again in 2 weeks to see if he is still losing weight and then I guess some kind of medicine. There is also some food but since we have two cats and feed them together it might not be doable. Hopefully he will get back to his old weight. He is a big cat but not fat. He is a real sweetie so we want to get him fixed up.

Got Clyde to the doctor...

Well, the pill pockets worked. Wish I would have had known about them before as the cats haven't been to the doctor for a few years due to the problem of catching them. They have ESP and know when we are going to take them to the doctor.

The doctor thinks it may be a problem with his thyroid. I was scared that it was diabetes or something. We won't know for a few days if it is a problem with his thyroid or not. Hopefully it will be easily controlled.

We still need to get our other cat to the doctor but that will have to wait. It was $200 for Clyde and when we got home our little boy, Corky, started passing out. We thought it may be epilepsy but the doctor didn't think so. We had to have another blood test and it was another $150.00. Next comes both of the dogs yearly shots which will be I don't know how much. For retirees on a budget that is quite a lot to handle. That is my biggest fear with having pets - having a big health problem that we can't financially handle.

Now that Google has messed up my business I have even more fears that we can't even handle their yearly costs. I didn't even dream that we would be worried so much about $300 or $400 for vet fees but we sure are. Of course we are in the same boat as so many other people so I guess we're in good company at least.

Well, I'm sure you have heard enough of my animal and money woes so I will just stop talking about it now.

Fun with cats....

Just received some pill pockets I ordered to give our cats pills so we can take them to the vet. They haven't been in quite a few years as we can never catch them. They always know when we are trying to get them ready and hide in the basement or under the king size bed where we can't reach them.

Our cats names are Bonnie and Clyde (I'm sure you guessed why we named them that.) Well you are right. They were quite a pair when they were kittens. They have calmed down a lot now after 10 years.

Anyway Bonnie is small and Clyde is huge as he was 20+ pounds. Lately even though he is hungry all the time and eats like a pig he is getting skinnier and skinnier. We are really worried and have an appointment for him to get checked out - that is if we can get him there. Pray for us. I hope we can get him there and the vet finds something easily corrected.

I will post an update for anyone who is interested after our appointment tomorrow. wish us luck.

Well, fall is really on us now...

Fall is here in all its splendor. I don't mind fall but really hate the thought of what comes after. It is pretty cool here - low 50s - but could be much worse to live in Denver where they already have 6" of snow. That is crazy. I sure hope it doesn't come this way. One of the perks of being retired is I don't have to get out in the messy snow and ice to get to work or whatever. I always hated that.

Anyway, with fall upon us and Christmas a few days shy of 2 months I am listing more and more items to see if I can get some buyers. This month has been extremely slow due to the changes Google has made. Just remember you have to find some of my stuff in the web post themselves and not shopping as Google has not posted them due to missing identifiers, etc. If you can't find the identifiers what can you do.

I just thought about what I wrote. Christmas in less than 2 months!! Time is crazy now as the days go flying by faster and faster. I always thought that time going faster as you get older was an old wives tale but guess what? It's true. Man I get up on Sunday and before I can blink my eyes it's Sunday again.

Please all if you get a change I would appreciate a sale. I feel like I'm invisible now and it's not a good feeling.

Google needs to be taken down a notch. I don't know what they have against the little store seller. I am retired and need that extra amount I get each month. I am not one of the gigantic sellers who have 50,000 items. I am quite small about 2,000 items in 13 stores. I don't know how to make them see what they are doing to the people without jobs, are retired and on SS, or just someone who has a job but makes a very small amount of money.

I guess they just don't get it that this is really not the time to make it harder to make a dollar. Or maybe they just don't care. Either way they have really screwed all of us that need the income. There is certainly no way to get them to see it.

Well, if you guys are flush and want to contribute to someone who isn't check out my stores and make a small or big purchase.

We still haven't received very much rain. Maybe an inch since July. I guess it could be much worse as we could be as bad as Texas.

I heard on the radio that this winter is going to be a beaut. Really cold - not much snow - just really bitterly cold. I hate that. Probably won't get out of the house much this winter. New Store listings

Hi, I am listing new items in my stores on a daily basis. Hopefully you are checking them out and plan to buy, buy and buy more. You know we need to stimulate the economy to make it better. I know I'm doing my best.

If you like to sew I am adding some patterns to my stores which are new. There is a McCall's for children's robes, PJ, gowns, shorts, etc. A Simplicity for children's dress, shorts, jacket, shirt and pants. Another Simplicity for Children's pants and knit top. Also a Vogue for women's tops and a Simplicity for women's dresses short and long.

I am trying to get as much done as possible. I will also be adding children's VHS videos and toys to http://LittleShoppeofToys.ecrater.com/ and http://www.vendio.com/stores/ToyCarnival/. Most of my toys are gently used but I do have some that are brand new. Think Christmas!

weather here in central Illinois today. It has been pretty good for a few days now. Low 80s during day - no humidity. Of course that means no rain which we could really use. We did get a few drops on Friday but by no means enough. This has been a crazy year. Rained like it would not stop in the spring and now hardly any during the summer months. Oh well you know what they say.

Trying to list more and more items in my store as I have stuff piling up in my room. Need to get it all on but sometimes it is overwhelming and I just can't get started. I am listing some items every day so be sure and check out my stores.

They finally got the job done - almost too late and a little short. I don't know how much it's going to help the country but hopefully they can get together to do something about the mess we're in. I doubt it though. Maybe we should throw them all out of office next election and keep throwing them out each election until we get someone in there that actually works for us. LOL - never happen.

Anyway just wanted to put in my 2 cents and tell you all that I have been listing and listing in my stores so if you want a good deal check them out. I try to list as low as possible so we both can get a deal. If you agree with me or just want to put in your comments feel free.

the last time I wrote in this blog. The dumbos in Washington are still playing catch-as-catch-can with our lives and finances. I don't know what any of us thought our wants and needs matter to any of them. They have shown us that fact over and over but we just don't seem to catch on. Maybe one of these elections we will let them really know what happens when you don't listen to the people. Knowing the people of this country though we will just elect them again so we can get screwed over again. I am really disgusted with this whole situation. I think if I don't get my SS next month I will forward all my bills to congress and let them pay them since they are the only ones that will be paid.

Anyhoo, I am still listing in my stores to try to make enough to pay some of the bills if I don't get my check so feel free to help me out by purchasing something. Love you for it.

You know who I'm talking about. The president and representatives are acting like a bunch of little kids who are playing a game and if they can't make all the rules want to take their ball and go home. Grow up guys and gals. You are representing the people not in a personality contest to see who can get the most points. People of the USA are getting sick of this bulls**t. Get with it.

I know if I don't get the SS money that I worked all those years to get I am going to be a really pissed off constituent. I may have only one vote but I have a loud mouth and can talk to other people about possibly voting for someone who cares about us and not about how they look all the time. And I'm sure there are a lot more loud mouths out there who will do the same. If you want to keep your cushy job keep that in mind.

I hope that you readers will look through my stores and buy what ever you can. I am adding more daily.

I don't know about you..

but I am getting really tired of worrying about whether or not this country is going to default or not. I wish our representatives in Washington, DC would get their act together. I don't know how many other retired persons there are who will read this but personally I'm getting a wee bit worried about my husband and I getting our retirement checks. Except for a small retirement pension that my husband gets from his work we live on SS and what I make online selling. Not a happy prospect to think about no SS checks.

It's my personal opinion that getting SS is not a privilege but something deserved as my husband and I paid into the system for 30+ years. I think the truth of matter is that they used so much of the money on stupid projects and never paid it back.

No matter why things are so screwed up they need to get it fixed at least temporarily and then take their time fixing it for good. We don't send them to congress to get their own agenda done but to help people who need it. They had better learn these lessons soon or they just might be kicked out and replaced next election. At least I hope that would happen but with the way people are anymore they will just get elected again.

Anyway I would appreciate it if you would check out my stores and buy what you can.

That's what the heck I'm doing here in central Illinois. I know a lot of us are in the same boat. One thing I want to know is how come it is so much hotter now at 95F than it was when I was a kid (or even a young adult.) I used to be able to go out in this heat and still feel OK. Now all I do is stay inside and only open the door to let the dogs in and out. Boy am I getting old.

Oh, well at least I'm getting a lot of listing done in my stores. Have listed many toys, collectibles and summer clothes. Surely you need something from one of my 12 stores. I am always at my computer typing away trying to list all kinds of neat items to entice you.

Our news last night said this heat is going to be around for at least a week or more so no reason not to get on your computer and buy, buy, buy. Ha!

How could Not Guilty not mean Innocent?

I can't believe these jurors in the Casey Anthony trial are now stating "I didn't say she was innocent." Don't they know that saying someone is not guilty is the same as innocent? How could the prosecutor proves the guilt of Anthony to everyone in the country but those 12 (make that 13, 1 for the alternate) who said not guilty. Are people getting so callous in this country that you can find someone "not guilty" when you know in your heart that they are "guilty as hell."

Now she will get out of jail and be offered all kinds of money for her sleazy story. I personally will not watch anything that will provide her one penny.

Rest easy little girl angel, some day your momma will get what she deserves.

Getting new kitchen flooring today

Well, we had new flooring in the bathroom last week. This week new flooring in kitchen. Hope it goes on easy. Man was it dirty behind the stove and refrigerator. Note to self - clean behind appliances more often.

Still no word as to when the water treatment plant will be back up and working. Seems like an awful long time to get it up and running again. Like I said before it could be worse.

I don't know how the people who have had their homes destroyed by tornadoes or floods do it. I just can't imagine not having our house anymore and that it is destroyed. Maybe it's due to getting old but that really scares me. Of course there are many things that scare me as I get older. What happens if one of us gets extremely sick or we have to go into a nursing home. I think that's the scariest of all.

Look for more sagas of the McIntyres and the non-working water treatment plant.

Depression!!!

Haven't felt like writing this blog. Had a flash flood last Saturday and it flooded our water treatment plant and we haven't had fresh water since then. I don't know what they have to do to get it going but wish the heck they would get with it. Can't wash clothes or anything. They don't know how much longer it will be and it's driving me nuts.

Oh, well, guess it could be much, much worse. I know it's not as bad as Joplin or any Minot but it still is a real hassle.

We have two hanging plants on our front porch and the finches have made a nest in both. One of them has at least one baby and I haven't checked the other yet. It's really hard to water them as you have to do it away from the nest. I don't know why they make them there but next year am going to discourage them from nesting there. As cold as it has gotten here right now (only 68 here today) I hope the babies are ok.

How did it get to be almost a month since my last post. This is crazy. It seems like I just posted to this blog. Oh, well, time flies, blah, blah, blah.

Our weather is really freaky lately in central Illinois. Our little city has a boil order because of all the rain so am boiling water to put aside. Of course as soon as I get a lot boiled the boil order will no longer be in effect. That's about the luck I have.

Man, I sure goofed this morning. May sister and I are having a garage sale at her place today and I'm up an hour early. Due to the fact that I screwed up my alarm I got up at 6 not 7 as I planned. Since my husband and I retired we don't normally get up until 9 or 9:30 a.m. so this is very unusual for me. I hate to get up early.

When you have worked most of your life, or even if you stay home with your kids, it is early to rise and late to bed. (Especially for a woman.) There is always so much to do that 24 hours a day is never enough. I don't know how I made it on 4-5 hours of sleep every night. Boy, did I cherish Fridays. When I retired I thought that would change and I would be bored with not working any more.

Of course, I still work just as hard as I sell online to supplement our income and put a little away in a savings. Of course we always keep taking some out to have something done to the house so it never really gets to be a big savings account. Oh, well, you can't take it with you.

Speaking of work, need to put on a few listings as I won't be home all day. Hope you all have a great Friday. :<)

Sorry, I haven't written on my blog for a while but have been pulling my hair out trying to comply with all the Google attitude rules. That has taken the majority of my time and I haven't gotten much listing done either.

I have started to try and do both. I guess I will soon see if my efforts lead to more sales. I didn't get all of the numbers put in as most of my stuff doesn't have any.

I have been frantically trying to update all my listings for the changes Google has decided it needs to show my meager listings in their search engine. I work really hard on my listings and my stores and don't really have spare time to do all this extra work. I guess I'll just have to make the time but don't know how.

You might want to check out my stores now as I may not show up after May 3rd. Hope you keep me in mind when you need that special something for your loved one.

listing steadily in my stores. No way am I going to go outside due to inclement weather here in central IL. Can't wait till it gets warmer and sunnier. I think the robins have played a trick on us being here so early in the year. Oh, if only I had wings I would be down in the bahamas or some other beautiful place.

I notice the cold more since I have gotten older and only want the warmth of the sun. Some day maybe I will win the sweepstakes or something and can move there. I doubt it will happen but a girl can only dream. I see all the beautiful people in all the warm beautiful places and can only envy them. Oh well, maybe some day.

Do you believe in curses?

I know I didn't but am now wondering about them. I had a buyer who wanted to return some phones after 2 1/2 months and when I wouldn't refund her money I believe she cursed me. I have been selling like crazy in my stores until this month and now have only made one sale. If that's not a curse then I don't know what is.

I know some people will say it's just a coincidence but I really am beginning to have my doubts.

Now what I need to know is - if curses are real how do I get it taken off as I still am not going to refund that woman her money. Curse me will you!!! I know I will curse her back and if it gets bad enough she will have to take it off.

Well, that's my freak out for the day. If you have any advise feel free to post it here. Thanks for reading my rants.

I hope that spring is almost here and this warmer weather is not just a tease, something to give us hope only to smack us down.

I don't know why I live where I do as I am not a cold weather person. I need to move to a place that is always warm and the flowers are always blooming. I miss my garden so much in the winter. My husband has been doing most of the gardening lately but I need to get back into it this year. I always enjoyed it. Of course if the summer is as hot as last year I won't be able to do it as the humidity really gets to me.

According to the news someone has already seen a Robin here. If I had seen it I would have said "Are you NUTZ? What are you doing here instead of being in the land of warmth." I can't believe they are that dumb. It is way far from spring here.

Today I'm going to get the filter out they put in my main vein to keep any stray clots from going to my lungs. I passed all the sonograms so they think I'm fine now with no blood clots. I hope this is my last hospital trip for a long, long time but I'm at that age you know.

The weather has really been miserable here in Central Illinois. Very cold for this time of the month. Hope we have all the miserable extreme cold now and not later. Oh, well, I can dream.

I had a plan that I wouldn't have any operations until my 95th birthday but that has been blown. I have to have a hiatal hernia fixed as 80% of my stomach is in my chest behind my heart. I have been having severe pain and now can see why. Everyone pray for me on Wednesday.

Well, our cutie bird just passed way on Sunday night. He was 17 years old. He was always whistling the Woody Woodpecker song or the theme from Dragnet. Most of the time he did the wolf whistle when someone walked by. He always made me smile. I will miss him.

I've been so busy this is the first time I have gotten to post a new blog. Since my last blog we have adopted two dogs from our local shelter, summer has gone whizzing by and I have been adding more and more to my online stores. Just one more day until Christmas!! Well, Christmas is almost here and my husband and I are fighting a bout of the flu and may be losing. Al has had it for a couple of days longer than I have so he may just about through but I still have to go through whatever steps are left. My house really needs a cleaning and hopefully I will fell like doing it soon. Of course it's just going to be me and my husband this Christmas as my daughter is not going to be able to make it. She has her own painting business and needs to be available to do her job and has jobs scheduled except for Christmas day. She lives too far away to drive here for only the day. Besides the weather is really crappy. Sleeting right now.

I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone and that we are on the verge of a new year. 2008 - I never thought I would see it. I guess I haven't yet and hope that I do. I remember as a kid what everyone thought the year 2008 would be like. Space travel for the common man, flying cars, houses that clean themselves. Boy, were we ever naive. Oh, well, there have been many new things since I was a kid (since I was born in the 40s). Hopefully, I will be around to see some of our ideas come true.
